When I saw Nile at my friends pool. She was glowing in her two piece bathing suit with her baby bump. I immediately had a vision in my head of what I would shoot with her for one set if I was fortunate enough to get her in front of my studio.
I approached her spouse first and did my homework, lol, to see if she had already done maternity portraits. To my surprise she had not! I got even more excited. Then my follow up question…Does she want them? He said yes she would love them but they were thinking it wouldn’t be possible as she was due within two weeks and had waited too long to make that decision and didn’t think they could find a Charlotte maternity photographer in time for the maternity portraits.
Let me tell you my heart was so happy to know that all the stars aligned for me and for them to get maternity portraits and have some fun while doing them. We immediately made plans for them to come to my studio the following week. And when I tell you she crushed her shoot that is such an understatement. I loved that she was open to all my visions for her shoot and that I could help make their wish come true with getting maternity pictures before baby girl arrived.
Every maternity session is a reminder of just how magical this season of life truly is. Nile absolutely radiated confidence and beauty during her portraits, and we captured some of my favorite bump shots yet. I love celebrating motherhood in this way—it’s more than photos, it’s a memory that will last forever.
